I love these boots! After years of other boots that wouldn't stay on at a trot these were awesome WTC and even a gallop up hill after my hanovarian big toddler got bucky into the canter.

These boots have been a game changer, my gelding was having a hard time getting his feet used to harder ground and was so tender I was only able to ride in a sand arena. When I moved I had no access to a sand arena and was not able to ride. I started looking at boots and when i found renegade boots I just knew these were what I needed, they are affordable and durable. I have now ridden all thru my neighborhood, on the paved roads, on gravel roads, and we are able to do mare than just a short walk. The boots have given us the freedom to ride all over no matter what the ground is like. I have not had 1 boot come off while riding, they are secure and so easy to put on and take off. Love them and will be getting some in a different color too! Thank you for having such a great hoof boot!!

Since you mentioned moving "To Classic," just a quick tip as you adjust your boots: you can easily slide the rubber O-rings over on the pastern straps to fine-tune the strap length. Just remember to keep that pastern strap nice and loose—you should easily be able to fit 3 or 4 fingers underneath it!

We took both horses on a very rocky trail for several hours. The horses loved them.
No slipping, soreness, or stone bruising at all.

Love these boots so far! They do feel quite stiff to me, so I’m curious how much firmer the Shields are. The pink/red glow boots are a little more flesh-colored than I was expecting as I thought they were more kind of beige-y, but they’re nice all the same. I requested the swap to the Classic captivators, and they feel quite adjustable and nice for my horse. They are good to get on and off, even when my horse is a little long. I have been testing different tightnesses for wear and have only had one of them twist one time after a long big trot and gallop with them pretty loose. I am doing slightly tighter than that now. They’re awesome so far. I really hope they hold up long term! No sores yet!

They were a little loose, so we tightened the wires a little bit and they work well. My horse has weak hooves that chip and crack easy and the boots resulted in a smoother gate on the dirt road.

I've been using Renegades for about ten years, on very rocky, muddy, steep terrain, and they have not failed me. I like the Vipers for the added tread -- the tread is often what wears out first on my trails. They don't come off -- well, in the hundreds of miles I've logged, they have come off three times, once in a bog that would have sucked anything off. They fit my mare and my riding and I'm very happy with them.

Love the boots! They are for my coming 5 year old mare who is happy in the pasture and arena but gets picky about footing whenever we are out on the trails and works to avoid stepping on rocky ground. These have allowed her to stay barefoot but have the comfort and confidence to really excel on the trails. We are both happy campers!!

The Boots do their job, my horse has been able to stay barefoot while training 5 days a week arena and trails. It takes some time to get the boots on right but your horse is worth it. I suggest you clean them every use, especially the rubber portions. FYI Arizona Copper looks fab on Red Duns and Chestnuts.

Love the Renegade Classic. I just got back from a very technical riding experience. We did an elevation gain of 2,064 on one day. A second day had an elevation gain of 1,960 feet. This was riding up and back down mountains on very rocky, cliffy, ledgy, narrow trails. The Renegades stayed on and protected my mares hooves going straight up and straight down mountains. We did several water crossing, slid in sand, on granite rocks, and all the millions of rocks on the trail. We had to negotiate rocks everywhere that were small 4"s to boulders on which my mare had to step between, over, thru! After several hard rides with 15+ miles, my mare was never chaffed.
Perfect fit… easy on…stay on… thanks for making such a great product. My horse is like a totally different horse ..confident on rocky terrain like never before.
