A quantity of 1 is a single boot, select 2 for a pair of boots. Each increment of 2 will be treated as a pair for initial strap setup (one left one right). If you order an odd number of hoof boots, please use the notes field at checkout to request how many of “Left” or “Right”.
Single boot sales allow owners of horses with mis-matched hoof sizes to buy individually, and for easy purchase of single replacements.

You can get Free Sizing on our Renegade® Sizing page. The sizes indicate the hoof boot sole dimensions, length first then width second. We recommend selecting a size that is about 5-10mm longer and wider than the hoof measurements after a proper Natural Style Trim.

The material used to Classic hoof boots is a super durable polyurethane resulting in a long lasting boot.

My hard to fit Arabian has been in these the past few months. He has one clubby foot. These have worked great. They hug the heel bulb but do not cause rubbing. Terrific design. Very happy with Renegades.

Oh my gosh! These are amazing and arrived the day after I ordered them! So quick! We had a trimming mishap on my moms’ draft cross that left him unshoe-able 1 week before a horse camping trip. I’ve always had a hard time finding hoof boots to fit my mare, Fire. She was not performing well in steel shoes but before Renegades, it was that or composite shoes, which my farrier was not able to do. I decided to look into Renegades and they have boots that fit her extremely well! I can’t wait to see how these perform in a competitive endurance environment! They’re incredibly easy to put on and take off, unlike other boots, and they last 10x longer than others!
They fit fine and work great. Also renegade called and checked with me on my measurements before they sent them.
I have used renegade’s for many years and love them.

Once I get these Renegade boots on and strapped, they are awesome! I can now go on rocky trails without having to worry about my horse's feet hurting halfway through the ride. Only issue I have is I have trouble with the Velcro straps. I have arthritis in my hands, and it is difficult to get them strapped tight. Other than that, they are great!

We understand your struggle with the Velcro straps due to arthritis in your hands. We appreciate you sharing this feedback, and we want to offer a tip that might make it easier for you to both secure and release the boots:
**Fold and Tuck:** Try folding the end of each Velcro strap into a small tab before pulling it through the keeper ring. This creates a sturdier grip, making it much easier to release the strap when removing the boots.

I use these boots on my laminitic prone gelding . They keep him comfortable, and rideable.
I love these boots! My gelding has some hoof issues and can’t wear shoes so these boots are a lifesaver. With his tender feet I could barely ride him before these boots and now I can run barrels, trail ride, and jump on him! I will be buying another pair for my other horse.

Can I add customizations?
Yes. Simply click on your desired options from above and add them to your cart. Be sure to add any information in the cart notes - for example if you buy 4 boots but want to swap heel captivators on only two, or add studs only on the front boots, please provide plenty of detail so we can make the customizations to the right boots!
What if I want to buy more than one boot?
Just adjust the quantity for each size / model boot you need. Please let us know in the notes field at checkout which hoof the boots will go on, so we can put the velcro on facing the right way for each hoof.
If you buy a pair or a set of 4 we will assume that these are going left and right and put the velcro on as a pair or a set.
How long will Renegade hoof boots last?
Mileage will depend on the terrain, speed, and how the horse moves. On average, it is expected to get 500-600 miles out of the Classic model, and 600-800 miles out of the Vipers.
Abrasive rough terrain, or horses who drag their toes will likely get fewer miles out of their boots.
