The sizes indicate the hoof boot sole dimensions. We recommend selecting a size that is about 5-10mm longer and wider than the hoof measurements after a proper Natural Style Trim. The sizing shows length first then width second.

Viper™ Hoof Boots have been developed over 20 years for maximum mileage, hoof stability and endurance hoof boot for barefoot horses. With competition-proven pivoting heel captivator design, a military grade cabling system and durable straps, the Viper™ Hoof Boot features a sleek look and bright colors, while the ultra-durable polyurethane used to make the Viper™ results in a seriously tough, long-lasting boot. Deep tread grooves provide longer-lasting grip to bite the ground, and a deeper Heel Captivator 'gullet' allows for improved pastern bone clearance. The inside of the hoof boot is texturized and the Heel Captivator Liner is bonded in place for stability in action. The Viper™ logo and boot size are stamped large inside of each boot for quick and easy size readability.

When I first found Renegade I was skeptical because the reviews were mostly positive and it seemed to good to be true! I used their sizing team (so smooth, easy & perfectly accurate btw) sent in my pictures/measurements and received a very timely response, then promptly placed my order! Since they arrived: my mare hasn't been rode without them - arena, trail, wherever.. she is so much more comfortable wearing them!! She has always been sound but would be ouchy on random terrain (sometimes even just hard ground) not anymore! We are riding with confidence and it gives me peace of mind to know she's totally comfortable as well as not wearing & tearing her hooves especially when we want to get up and go.. The boots fit & function beautifully at a walk, trot, canter & full speed - I have put it to the test!! They are so easy to clean after rides all you need is water, a hose is truly the best & only tool needed (I have found that keeping a hoof pick handy when doing so, for those stubborn little stones makes it even easier & faster). They fit fantastic from day 1 of being trimmed til the next trim (8 wks) which I was also skeptical about, and literally have had no issues! I will absolutely be purchasing a pair for my gelding as well - 10/10 recommend these boots!!!

The pink Renegades on Diesel’s fronts are the Mystery box ultra blems. And while I can see the imperfections up close, you can’t tell the difference at all in fit and performance. We are very happy with them and it was fun to find out what color I would get! If I don’t need a specific color, I will definitely be ordering these again! The entire experience has been great! I took advantage of the sizing request form and the team was very honest saying she isn't a perfect fit so they were unsure if the boots would work or not, I decided to risk it and try it anyways. I purchased the mystery boots and asked if by chance they can send pink for my 8 year old daughter, and sure enough... they came in pink! Her mare has been sound and doing great in these boots! SO good!! My mare loved these from the very first ride. She’s going more comfortably than ever over gravel, pavement, sand, mud, and more without losing her boots, and feeling more confident in her step than I’ve ever felt her before. We got lucky on the color and it matches one of my tack sets perfectly as well, which is super fun! I’ve had them two months and put just over 100 miles on them and they’re still wonderful. No rubs, only secure comfort. I’m currently saving to boot up my two other horses with renegades, too!

We love our Renegades! These particular ones have done a few hundred conditioning miles, and then just completed 85 Endurance miles over the winter. They worked so well for Florida! We had a lot of folks interested in using them after we had zero boot failures and were sound and fantastic looking 🥳 I have a pair that is 10 years old which is still going strong with hundreds upon hundreds of conditioning miles, and several hundred Endurance competition miles.... 25 of which happened this winter! If you want boots that will last, get Renegades!

Very happy when I open the box that's how nice they are very minimal blem small bubble on the bottom of them doesn't affect them at all. Very very surprised when I had them on the mare outside in the sun brought them into my dark tack room and they glowed very vividly hence the name I guess vivids. I did post them on social media on a hoof boot group I'm on and everybody was ecstatic and wanted to get a pair. All in all very pleased thank you

These were my first renegade hoof boots. I took a chance on the grab box. I was very pleasantly surprised. I ordered three boots in the front hoof size that the team said I should get based off of my photos. There were a few small imperfections, but nothing major like I was worried there was going to be. We had our first ride in the boots today and they were fantastic! I got three boots so I have a spare for the front. 4 stars for flaws, but that WAS to be expected 🤣 We are starting down the path of competitive trail riding. I have a lot of gravel roads around my place and it's nice to be able to take advantage of them without her being ouchy. I will try to remember to update this review as time goes on.

Can I add customizations?
Yes. Simply click on your desired options from above and add them to your cart. Be sure to add any information in the cart notes - for example if you buy 4 boots but want to swap heel captivators on only two, or add studs only on the front boots, please provide plenty of detail so we can make the customizations to the right boots!
What if I want to buy more than one boot?
Just adjust the quantity for each size / model boot you need. Please let us know in the notes field at checkout which hoof the boots will go on, so we can put the velcro on facing the right way for each hoof.
If you buy a pair or a set of 4 we will assume that these are going left and right and put the velcro on as a pair or a set.
How long will Renegade hoof boots last?
Mileage will depend on the terrain, speed, and how the horse moves. On average, it is expected to get 500-600 miles out of the Classic model, and 600-800 miles out of the Vipers.
Abrasive rough terrain, or horses who drag their toes will likely get fewer miles out of their boots.
