I am transitioning my horse to barefoot and I do a lot of Hunter paces. And I needed something that would stay on and be easy to care for afterwards because there could be a lot of mud. Well, so far so good. She moves beautifully in them. I have no issues. They hose off great and she loves her ruby red slippers.

My mustang has good solid feet but every once in awhile he gets ouchy on especially tough terrain. Since I didnt want the expense of shoes put on I did research on boots and found these. I followed the instructions to submit photos for sizing and got back the recommendations almost immediately which was nice. They fit perfectly and we have done about 3 rides in them, they didnt slip off, rub, or get any debris in them so Im happy.

If you like, you can shorten the top straps by adjusting the 'back piece' (against the horses leg) of velcro, so that the 'front' part of the velcro isn't as long - just make sure you press the velcro firmly back together and that you can still get 4 fingers in behind the strap after you adjust them. Enjoy!
The boots are great. I ordered them from across the ocean and was worried about how they would fit, but they fit perfectly! (Thanks sizing team!) Only once, when I didn't tighten them enough, did one of the hind boots come off. But thanks to the top strap, we didn't lose it; we were able to put it back on and continue the ride. We really value them on the rocky trails we have here ♡

Use Renegades on both my horses. One uses classics, one with vipers. Lots of rough trails, never had a boot fall off, last for 2 riding seasons of 6 months each. Added bonus is I can keep my horses barefoot which saves wear to the pasture, more economic option compared to shoeing around. These boots are great, highly recommend them.

Put the renegades to the test today! Packing out wild game. 1100 ft of elevation loss to get to the animal, and 1100 ft back to the top. Very steep and rocky country, but Nox never took a wrong step with his boots on . They are worth their weight in gold!

I LOVE my Renegade Viper Shield boots! They have been such a relief for my tender soled gelding, Sebastian. So far, they have been trail, road, gravel, AND spook approved (he rears and twists around when he spooks)! My ONLY reason for giving 4 stars instead of five is, when we rode on the beach, he threw both rear boots at a full gallop, and I had to literally put them back together when I got home (The cables came out of the pulley buttons, which is odd because I have never messed with them). Fortunately nothing was broken, and everything repaired fine, it was just disappointing that the rear boots could not handle a gallop down the beach. The front boots however, have never had any issue, and have been lovely!!

He does look like an athletic guy that's for sure! It may seem odd but one of the reasons a boot can pull under pressure is if the pastern strap is done up too tight - make sure you can get 4 fingers under them - they do look pretty good in this photo but worth mentioning - we'd love to hear from you if you would like a fit check. :)

My mare is 26 years old and we are historical reenactors. Even though they aren’t historically accurate, my mare wore your boots through a whole day of staging a steam train robbery event this week. These boots keep her so surefooted and comfortable even on long days of riding and stayed on her feet over all sorts of terrain. We also trail ride a ton in these, we love them. I really like these boots. Those are my first pair, so I don´t really have anything to compare them to, but they haven´t come off a single time. I have used them on rocky mountain terrain, in water and mud, also on longer day rides. My horse is much more comfortable. I am going to purchase boots for his back hooves soon. It took nearly 6 weeks to get them shiped to Mexico, but this is due to the supplier. Just consider longer waiting times if you order from abroad.

Boots fit perfectly! They climbed many mountains, crossed creeks and zero issues but I do find the straps a bit long, not sure if they can be shortened at all.

I have used these boots on a 10 and 12 mile rides. The trails were hilly, wet in areas, and rocky and they were great! The company helped me select the sizes which was good because he needed two different sizes. No rubs and my horse even seems to like them.

Officially a Renegade convert! I had a full set of another hoof boot brand for 3 different horses and endless issues with them twisting and falling off. Sent in sizing photos and quickly went from 1 pair to 3 to 6 - zero issues with fit and they are super easy to put on. The first 3 pairs were “Ultra Blems” and I had to hunt to find the “issues” with them.

These boots have been a life saver for my new horse that I am transitioning out of shoes. He is obviously sore but when he wears his renegades, he is perfectly comfortable and I've even been able to keep him lightly going under saddle until his feet are more solid. I bought a second pair of these boots just so I'll have an option of color and to keep a pair clean and ready to go at any moment! I sent my pictures in with measurements and they recommended his size which fit absolutely perfect. I will always have a pair of these on hand now.

It took one exchange but the final resulting pair of purple Vipers were perfect. I don’t have a pic of the thick black mud we find in the Adirondacks, but the boots stayed on thru all of our muddy, rocky, root-y terrain!

The boots look good and I like the color, but they don’t fit super great. It seemed snug when I put it on, but after each trail ride, I find a TON of small rocks inside the boots so apparently it’s big. He does not like to wear them which sucks, even after dozens of rides

„At what time do you have to be home from the barn?“ „When my new boots start to glow…!😍 The glow-effect has been secondary, the color was just too great ! But actually it‘s pretty cool they DO have this effect! I also have stirrups with lights in case we get home a Little to late…But these boots will make neighbours turn their heads 😍 The Boots fit because of measuring and sending pictures to the company. Those straps are really special! I wouldn‘t get them in Germany, so I hope, they‘ll last for a long time! It was absolutely worth it, to pay extra to get them instead of just black ones. I truly love the combination with the color of my Boots! Together it is pure summer vibe! I already have boots in „copper“ and still like this color, but it’s fun to get special designs and colors! If all These variations were easily available in Germany, I‘d shop quite more often…I love them!

The pad to end, ALL pads! It sits my endurance saddle so well, no movement, no slip, nothing. The combination of the quick drying fabric and the merino wool means that it dries faster than my other wool pad and so I have only had to get one (sadly - but I'm sure I'll find a reason for another 😆 ) Also I'm all about the pink and black so that's a nice extra!
